Laurel started Bay Leaf Therapy in 2024. It is a psychotherapy private practice for adults located in Norwich, Vermont, which is less than 10 minutes away from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH.
Laurel earned her BA from St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD, where she studied history of philosophy, literature, mathematics, language, music, and science.
She received her Master’s of Social Work from Boston University in 2016. She also has a Master’s of Business Administration from University of Maryland, GC, 2021.
Laurel has been working in the field of mental health in diverse settings since 2013.
She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient clinical settings, including substance use treatment, criminal justice services, and adult outpatient mental health.
She has received education and training in the practice of CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic, cognitive processing, and Community Network Approach (CNA) therapeutic modalities, among others.
Laurel’s primary focus of clinical work has been developing and refining skills and interventions targeted to working with adult clients with ADHD.
In her ADHD work, Laurel has conducted educational presentations to clinical staff, provided neurodiversity consultation to health industry professionals, and founded and developed a therapeutic psycho-educational group curriculum for adults with ADHD. Laurel is a member of the American Professional Society of ADHD and Related Disorders (APSARD).
Laurel is enrolled in a fellowship with the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute beginning in Fall 2025.
Laurel receives clinical supervision from a seasoned clinician with an emphasis on psychoanalytic therapy.
